💭 Thoughts on This Project
We reimagined CASETiFY’s product canvas as a storytelling surface — transforming each phone case and accessory into a tactile tribute to the Straw Hat crew. From the scratch on Luffy’s chest to the silhouette of the Thousand Sunny, every detail was thoughtfully crafted to translate deep fandom into functional design.
I led the art direction, shaping the collaboration as both a design statement and an experience that celebrated fans’ emotional connection to the One Piece world.
Art Direction — Ocean, Minimal
The creative direction was guided by the essence of the ocean — vast, fluid, and full of quiet strength — interwoven with storytelling deeply rooted in the One Piece universe. This was balanced with a minimal aesthetic that reflected contemporary design sensibilities, creating a clean yet emotionally resonant visual language.
Packaging
For the Golden Snail special edition, I designed a modern ship container inspired by the wooden pirate chests of old. Rather than replicating the material literally, I developed a paperboard structure that captured the same spirit while significantly reducing production costs.
Special Printing
To bring more depth to the phone cases, we experimented with a range of textures across select models, such as the Mirror Case. We explored diverse printing techniques — from negative printing to layered opacity — to capture the shimmer of the sea and convey that sense of adventure and energy unique to One Piece.
Beyond packaging, I defined the collection’s product line, CMF direction, and campaign assets — creating a cohesive visual language that unified every touchpoint. The experience extended into CASETiFY’s retail stores worldwide, turning physical spaces into immersive gateways to the One Piece universe.
